 Performance

Construction
The Thompson Mk6 Supercut Bandsaws are constructed from Heavy Duty Stainless Steel. The tables are made to withstand continuous pounding from 'the product'.

The flywheels are made from mechanite and machined so that the teeth of the bandsaw blade do not contact the wheel surface. They are also designed to ensure the bandsaw blades cannot be dislodged from the wheel surface.
 

Operating
Start/Stop controls are located at the front of the machine at eye level for quick and easy access.

The blade tension assembly automatically adjusts the blade to a factory preset tension.

The direct drive system eliminates the requirements for belt adjustments or replacement whilst ensuring positive and constant blade speed.

A powerful 4kW (5.5hp) motor ensures a continuous smooth cutting operation through all products fresh or frozen.

Cleaning
The high quality construction of the bandsaw ensures cleaning is expedient and thorough providing maximum hygiene.

Safety- A priority not a compromise
The Thompson Mk6 Supercut Bandsaw offers safety features that maximise safety to the operator and other persons in close vicinity.

Work Place Safety is a necessity that should not be compromised.

Foot Controlled stop kick switches enable the bandsaw to be stopped safely when the operators hands are full.

Limit Switches on doors, blade guard and tilt up table ensure that during and after cleaning operations the bandsaw cannot be accidentally started, ie. if the doors and table are not closed or the blade guard not refitted.

Bandsaw Blades cannot be dislodged from purpose designed wheels again eliminating possibility of operator injury.
Brake

When the Bandsaw has been turned off the blade ceases to circulate (approximately 2 seconds), thereby eliminating the possibility of accidents caused through blade run on.
Recommended Options
Heavy duty stop kick switch.
Brake with 2 second stopping capability.
Door, table and blade guard sensors.
